General:
• Label all dance shoes with first and last name.
• Cover-ups are to worn outside class and studio.
• Please, NO GUM is allowed in class or the studio.
• We prefer that no jewelry be worn in class.
• Bring no valuables to class with you. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
• All food and drinks must be kept in the eating area at all times.
• Please keep the eating area clean.
• Dance shoes are designed to worn on our Professional Stage Floors only. Please do not wear shoes outside.

Tuition:
MONTHLY RATE SCALE PER WEEK/FAMILY (monthly average = 4 classes per month. All rehearsals and performances are educational classes).

1st Subject: $50.00 per month
Each additional Subject: $32.00 per month
Pointe Class: $27.00 per month
   

Tuition is due on the first lesson of every month. Student may bring payment in an envelope with their name on it. A $5.00 LATE FEE will be charged after the 2nd lesson of the month. June tuition payment and attendance is required to participate in the recital. Private classes must be paid for in advance of the class.

Costume Deposit(s):
A non-refundable costume deposit of $60.00 for the June Recital is required for each class. This is due by November 15th. The balance will be due in the Spring. Christmas show costume will be a separate fee.

Course Information & Appropriate Attire:
All Shoes (Especially Ballet) Should Be Bloch, Leo’s, Or Capezio.Other ballet shoes may have lumps in the soles after wear causing sore feet and unhappy ballerinas.

ATTENDANCE POLICY: Classes meet weekly. Perfect attendance certificates will be awarded during the last class after recital. Students are expected to attend every class. Excused absences may be made up with another similar class. Make-up class forms are at the desk and sent in with student at beginning of class.

VISITING DAY: Parents may watch their child dance during VISITING DAY (the 1st lesson of the month).

ADVERSE WEATHER POLICY: Watch for closing information in the afternoon of the bad weather day on WOOD-TV, channel 8 in Grand Rapids and subscribe to updates from Facebook

VACATION POLICY: We will send home a “Dates to Remember” sheet with the Dance School’s vacation and Holiday Schedules, which should be saved for future reference.

SPECIAL NOTICES: Check the message window for announcements and special notices. All messages left on answering machine will be returned as soon as possible. If power goes out, messages could be lost.

CHRISTMAS SHOW: Will be the second Sunday in December.

ANNUAL RECITAL: Will be the second Saturday in June (date to be announced) at the W. K. Kellogg Auditorium. Dress rehearsal will be held the night before. All students are expected to participate as part of their dance education. There is also a rehearsal on a Friday in May as part of the preparation. The rehearsals and recital are part of June’s lessons.
